Sand (they/them) has spent over 30 years walking the path between worlds — teaching, healing, and holding space for people ready to remember who they are.
The Path
This work chose me as much as I chose it.
Sand carries the medicine of the Chumash matriarchal lineage — the Ant Mothers, Shu'tl U'tl. As a 2 Spirit person in the Chumash tradition, Sand walks between worlds — honoring ancestral wisdom while making it accessible to all who are called.
With over 30 years of teaching experience — including deep work with adults with ADHD, autism, and sensory differences — Sand brings a rare blend of patience, precision, and presence to every session. A psychology degree, certifications in Horticultural Therapy, Social Emotional Arts, and Therapeutic Fiber Arts round out a practice that meets people exactly where they are.
Initiated in Wind, Core, Celtic, and Sea shamanism through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and certified as both a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master, Sand's practice is wide, deep, and always guided by spirit.
What I Believe
Healing is not about fixing. It is about remembering. You already carry everything you need — the work is in the remembering.
Your guides are not symbols. They are living allies — active teachers who have been waiting for you to show up. The drum trance gives you the medicine. Integration is how you keep it.
This work is empowerment-based. Sand is not here to heal you — you are here to heal yourself. The tools, the guides, the drum: they are yours to work with for life.
